English – Once upon a time, in a green field near the forest, lived a hardworking ant. Every day, she would gather food and store it in her tiny house. She worked tirelessly from morning till evening, collecting grains, seeds, and crumbs.

Nearby lived a grasshopper who loved to sing and dance. All day long, he would play music and relax under the sun. He laughed at the ant and said, “Why do you work so hard, dear ant? Come, sing and dance with me. Enjoy the sunshine!”

The ant replied politely, “I’m preparing for the winter. When the weather turns cold and food becomes scarce, I’ll be safe and have enough to eat.”

But the grasshopper just laughed and continued playing, “Winter is far away. Why worry now?”

Days passed. Summer ended and cold winds began to blow. Trees shed their leaves, and snow started to fall. There was no food anywhere.

The ant stayed warm in her home, eating from her stored food. But the poor grasshopper had nothing to eat. He was cold and hungry. Finally, he came to the ant’s house and knocked on her door.

He said with shivering voice, “Dear ant, I’m starving. Can you please give me some food?”

The ant said, “Where were you when I was working hard? You spent all your time singing and dancing. I warned you, but you didn’t listen.”

The grasshopper felt ashamed and said, “I understand now. I should have worked when there was time.”

The kind ant gave him some food and let him rest inside. From that day on, the grasshopper promised to work hard and never waste time again.

हिंदी – एक समय की बात है, जंगल के पास एक हरे-भरे मैदान में एक मेहनती चींटी रहती थी। वह रोज़ सुबह से शाम तक खाना इकट्ठा करती और अपने छोटे से घर में जमा करती।

उसी जगह एक टिड्डा भी रहता था, जिसे गाना गाना और नाचना बहुत पसंद था। वह पूरा दिन धूप में आराम करता और संगीत बजाता।

टिड्डा चींटी को देखकर हँसता और कहता, “अरे चींटी बहन! इतना क्यों काम कर रही हो? आओ मेरे साथ गाओ, नाचो, और धूप का मज़ा लो!”

चींटी मुस्कराकर जवाब देती, “मैं सर्दी के लिए तैयारी कर रही हूँ। जब ठंड आ जाएगी और खाने को कुछ नहीं मिलेगा, तब मैं भूखी नहीं रहूँगी।”

टिड्डा हँसकर कहता, “अरे, सर्दी तो अभी दूर है! अभी तो मस्ती करो।”

समय बीतता गया। गर्मी खत्म हुई और सर्दी शुरू हो गई। पेड़ सूखने लगे और बर्फ गिरने लगी। हर जगह से खाना गायब हो गया।

चींटी अपने घर में आराम से बैठी थी और जमा किया हुआ खाना खा रही थी। लेकिन बेचारा टिड्डा भूखा और ठंड से काँप रहा था। आखिरकार वह चींटी के घर पहुँचा और दरवाज़ा खटखटाया।

वह काँपती आवाज़ में बोला, “चींटी बहन, मैं भूखा हूँ। क्या थोड़ा खाना मिलेगा?”

चींटी बोली, “जब मैं मेहनत कर रही थी, तब तुम मस्ती कर रहे थे। मैंने तुम्हें समझाया था, पर तुमने मेरी बात नहीं मानी।”

टिड्डा शर्मिंदा हो गया और बोला, “अब मुझे अपनी गलती का एहसास हुआ। मुझे भी काम करना चाहिए था।”

चींटी दयालु थी। उसने टिड्डे को खाना दिया और उसे अंदर आराम करने दिया। उस दिन के बाद, टिड्डे ने वादा किया कि वह समय पर मेहनत करेगा।
