Translation Exercise - 16

Bablu was a little boy who lived in a village with his grandparents. His parents worked in the city and only visited once or twice a year. Bablu often missed them, but he found joy playing in the fields and listening to stories from his grandfather. One day, he noticed his grandfather watering a dry tree daily. Curious, Bablu asked, “Grandpa, this tree is dead. Why water it?” His grandfather smiled and replied, “Son, hope never dies. Maybe one day it will turn green again.” Bablu found it strange but started watering the tree with his grandfather. Days passed, seasons changed, and one morning, Bablu saw a tiny green leaf sprouting from the tree. He ran to his grandfather and shouted, “Look, Grandpa! The tree is alive!” His grandfather’s eyes sparkled with joy as he said, “See, my boy? With patience and hope, even a dry tree can live again.” From that day on, Bablu learned that no matter how tough things seem, hope and effort are never wasted.
