In this English Conversation, two friends, Poonam and Mousam, are discussing how to cook Pulao.

Poonam: Hi Mousam! I heard you love cooking. Can you share the recipe for Pulao with me?

Mousam: Hi Poonam! Of course, making Pulao is very easy. First, you need to take Basmati rice.

Poonam: Okay, how much rice should I take?

Mousam: If you’re cooking for 4 people, 2 cups of Basmati rice will be enough.

Poonam: And what spices do I need to add?

Mousam: You should add bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cloves, green cardamom, and cumin seeds. Also, add ginger-garlic paste.

Poonam: What vegetables can I add?

Mousam: You can add carrots, peas, capsicum, and beans. This will make the Pulao more delicious.

Poonam: And how do I cook it?

Mousam: First, wash the rice and soak it for 20 minutes. Then, heat ghee in a pan, sauté the spices and vegetables, then add rice and water, and cook it covered.

Poonam: How much water should I add?

Mousam: For 2 cups of rice, add 4 cups of water.
