Interview – 17
| In this Interviewer, an interviewer and a candidate, Vivek, are discussing his interview for a Architectural Engineer position. |
Interviewer: Hello Vivek! How are you?
Vivek: Hello Sir! I’m good. Thank you.
Interviewer: So, Vivek, tell me something about yourself.
Vivek: Sir, I have completed my graduation in Architectural Engineering. I have a keen interest in structural design and green building technology. During my internship, I worked on multiple projects, including residential and commercial buildings.
Interviewer: Very good! Can you tell us about your internship experience?
Vivek: Yes, Sir. I did my internship at an architecture firm where I worked on building design, energy efficiency, and BIM (Building Information Modeling). I also gained experience in 3D modeling, structural analysis, and site supervision.
Interviewer: Excellent! Can you talk about a project where you learned the most?
Vivek: Yes, Sir. I worked on a high-rise green building project. I learned about energy-efficient design and the use of sustainable materials. We integrated solar panels and a rainwater harvesting system into the building design.
Interviewer: Very good! Can you explain the difference between BIM and CAD?
Vivek: Yes, Sir. CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is used for creating 2D and 3D designs, whereas BIM (Building Information Modeling) manages the entire construction lifecycle digitally. BIM integrates data, structural elements, and material management, making the construction process more efficient.
Interviewer: Great! If you have to work on a smart city project, what would be your priorities?
Vivek: Sir, my priorities would be smart infrastructure, green buildings, and energy efficiency. I would focus on IoT (Internet of Things) integration in design and a sustainable transportation network.
Interviewer: Excellent! Final question, if you have a short deadline for a project, how will you complete it on time?
Vivek: I would prioritize tasks, coordinate efficiently with the team, and use additional resources if necessary to complete the project on time.
Interviewer: Very good, Vivek! I like your approach and confidence. Best of luck!
Vivek: Thank you, Sir! This interview was a great experience.
