English – Once upon a time, there was a big cat who lived near a house full of mice. The cat wanted to catch the mice and often tried to enter their holes to catch them. The mice were scared and always alert.

One day, the cat thought of a plan to catch all the mice at once. The cat said to himself, “I will pretend to be dead. When the mice come out to see, I will catch them easily.”

The cat lay down on the floor, closed his eyes, and stopped moving. After a while, the mice looked out cautiously and saw the cat lying still. They thought, “The cat is dead! Now we are safe.”

The mice came out happily and started playing near the cat. One mouse said, “Let’s bring some food and celebrate.” They brought grains and cheese and began to enjoy.

Suddenly, the cat opened his eyes and caught one of the mice. The other mice ran away in fear.

The next day, the mice held a meeting and said, “We need a safe plan to avoid the cat. Let’s not come out all together. If we are careful and watch carefully, we can escape.”

From that day, the mice became very smart. They only came out one by one and quickly hid if the cat was near. The cat tried many times but could not catch any mouse.

Finally, the cat gave up and left the place. The mice were safe and learned that being cautious and united helps to survive.

हिंदी – एक समय की बात है, एक बड़ी बिल्ली एक ऐसे घर के पास रहती थी जहाँ बहुत सारे चूहे रहते थे। बिल्ली चूहों को पकड़ना चाहती थी और अक्सर उनके बिल में घुसने की कोशिश करती थी। चूहे डरते थे और हमेशा सतर्क रहते थे।

एक दिन बिल्ली ने एक चाल सोची। उसने कहा, “मैं मरने का नाटक करूंगी। जब चूहे बाहर आएंगे, तो मैं उन्हें पकड़ लूँगी।”

बिल्ली ज़मीन पर लेट गई, आँखें बंद कर लीं और हिलना बंद कर दिया। थोड़ी देर बाद चूहे बाहर निकले और देखा कि बिल्ली बिलकुल शांत पड़ी है। उन्होंने सोचा, “बिल्ली मर गई! अब हम सुरक्षित हैं।”

चूहे खुशी-खुशी बाहर आए और खेलने लगे। एक चूहे ने कहा, “चलो कुछ खाना लेकर आते हैं और जश्न मनाते हैं।” वे अनाज और पनीर लेकर आए और मस्ती करने लगे।

अचानक बिल्ली ने आँखें खोल दीं और एक चूहे को पकड़ लिया। बाकी चूहे डर कर भाग गए।

अगले दिन चूहों ने बैठक की और कहा, “हमें सुरक्षित रहने के लिए एक योजना बनानी होगी। हम सब साथ में बाहर नहीं आएंगे। अगर हम सावधानी से देखेंगे तो बच सकते हैं।”

उस दिन से चूहे बहुत चालाक हो गए। वे एक-एक करके बाहर आते और अगर बिल्ली पास होती तो जल्दी से छुप जाते। बिल्ली ने कई बार कोशिश की, लेकिन कोई भी चूहा पकड़ नहीं पाया।

आखिरकार बिल्ली हार मान गई और वहां से चली गई। चूहे सुरक्षित रहे और उन्होंने सीखा कि सतर्क रहना और एकता से ही बचाव संभव है।
