English – Once upon a time, a clever fox was wandering through the forest looking for food. Suddenly, he saw a crow sitting on a branch of a tree. The crow was holding a piece of bread (roti) in its beak.

The fox thought to himself, “If I can get that bread, I will have a good meal today.” So, he decided to trick the crow.

The fox walked up to the tree and said in a sweet voice, “Oh, beautiful crow! Your feathers are so shiny and black. You must have a wonderful voice too. I would love to hear you sing.”

The crow was very proud of its feathers and felt flattered by the fox’s words. Wanting to show off, the crow opened its beak to sing. As soon as it did, the piece of bread fell to the ground.

Quickly, the fox grabbed the bread and said, “Thank you, dear crow. Your voice is not as good as your looks, but you have given me a delicious meal!”

The crow felt foolish and sad for being tricked.

हिंदी – एक समय की बात है, एक चालाक लोमड़ी जंगल में खाना ढूंढ़ रही थी। अचानक उसने देखा कि एक कौआ पेड़ की डाल पर बैठा है और अपने चोंच में एक टुकड़ा रोटी रखे हुए है।

लोमड़ी ने सोचा, “अगर मैं वह रोटी पा लूं तो आज मेरा अच्छा खाना हो जाएगा।” इसलिए उसने कौए को धोखा देने की योजना बनाई।

लोमड़ी पेड़ के पास गई और मीठी आवाज़ में बोली, “ओह, सुंदर कौआ! तुम्हारे पंख कितने चमकदार और काले हैं। तुम्हारी आवाज भी बहुत अच्छी होगी। मैं तुम्हें गाते हुए सुनना चाहती हूँ।”

कौआ अपने पंखों को लेकर बहुत गर्व महसूस करने लगा और लोमड़ी की तारीफ सुनकर खुश हुआ। दिखावा करने के लिए उसने गाना शुरू किया। जैसे ही उसने चोंच खोली, रोटी जमीन पर गिर गई।

जल्दी से लोमड़ी ने रोटी पकड़ ली और कहा, “धन्यवाद प्यारे कौआ। तुम्हारी आवाज तुम्हारी सुंदरता जितनी अच्छी नहीं है, लेकिन तुमने मुझे स्वादिष्ट खाना दिया।”

कौआ धोखा खाने के कारण मूर्ख और उदास महसूस करने लगा।
