English – Once upon a time, in a beautiful forest, lived a swift hare who was very proud of his speed. He would often boast to the other animals, “I am the fastest runner in the entire forest! No one can beat me!”

One day, a slow-moving tortoise got tired of the hare’s boasting and said, “Hare, I may be slow, but I challenge you to a race.”

The hare laughed loudly and said, “You? Race with me? That’s funny! But if you want, I accept.”

The animals gathered to watch the race. The race started, and the hare ran quickly, leaving the tortoise far behind. Feeling confident, the hare decided to take a nap under a tree halfway through the race.

Meanwhile, the tortoise kept moving slowly but steadily, never stopping or giving up.

The hare woke up and was shocked to see the tortoise nearing the finish line. He ran as fast as he could but it was too late. The tortoise crossed the finish line first.

The animals cheered for the tortoise and said, “Slow and steady wins the race.”

The hare learned an important lesson that day: pride and overconfidence can cause failure, and patience and perseverance lead to success.

हिंदी – एक समय की बात है, एक सुंदर जंगल में एक तेज़ खरगोश रहता था जो अपनी गति पर बहुत घमंड करता था। वह अक्सर सभी जानवरों से कहता, “मैं पूरे जंगल में सबसे तेज़ हूँ! कोई मुझे हरा नहीं सकता।”

एक दिन, एक धीरे-चलने वाला कछुआ खरगोश की बातों से थक गया और बोला, “खरगोश, मैं भले ही धीमा हूँ, लेकिन मैं तुम्हें दौड़ में चुनौती देता हूँ।”

जब खरगोश उठा तो देखा कि कछुआ फिनिश लाइन के पास आ चुका है। वह पूरी ताकत से दौड़ा लेकिन तब तक बहुत देर हो चुकी थी। कछुआ पहले फिनिश लाइन पार कर चुका था।

जानवरों ने कछुए की प्रशंसा की और कहा, “धीरे-धीरे लेकिन लगातार चलना ही जीतता है।”

खरगोश ने उस दिन एक महत्वपूर्ण सीख ली: घमंड और अधिक आत्मविश्वास हार का कारण बनते हैं, और धैर्य व मेहनत से सफलता मिलती है।
