Translation Exercise - 10
The next day, when Ayan came home, his mother immediately asked about the teacher’s health. Ayan assured her that the teacher was completely fine and had returned to school. His mother gently inquired again about the incident, hoping this time Ayan would tell the truth. However, Ayan made up a false story and avoided the subject.
Seeing that this didn’t work, his mother tried another approach. She told Ayan that she had heard Rahul had caused mischief with the teacher that day. Ayan was mischievous too, but he was very close to his friend. Hearing that Rahul was being falsely accused made him realize it was time to tell the truth.
Ayan admitted to his mother that Rahul had done nothing wrong, and the entire fault was his own. Hearing this, his mother felt a huge relief and hugged him tightly. Tears rolled down Ayan’s cheeks as he apologized, saying he had been scared to tell the truth.
His mother explained that no mistake is too big if there is genuine remorse. She told him to always tell his parents the truth because they will always help no matter what.
The next day, Ayan went to school, approached the teacher, and confessed everything honestly, asking for forgiveness. The teacher praised his courage and said speaking the truth takes great bravery.
After that day, Ayan and Rahul became even closer friends. Ayan also thanked Rahul for supporting him in telling the truth. The teacher applauded Ayan in front of the whole class, inspiring him further to always be honest. Ayan promised both his mother and teacher that he would never hide mistakes or lie again and would always speak the truth.
