Translation Exercise - 25
Amit was an honest and wise boy. One day, while returning home from school, he found an old purse on the road. The purse had a lot of money and some important documents. Amit thought he could keep the purse or take the money home, but his heart understood the difference between right and wrong. Amit picked up the purse and first informed his teacher. The teacher praised his honesty and said it was a great deed. Together, they found the owner and returned the purse. The owner tried to reward Amit, but Amit refused, saying, “I did the right thing; I don’t need a reward.” Amit’s right decision earned him respect in the whole neighborhood. People began to praise his honesty. This incident taught Amit that it’s very important to distinguish between right and wrong. No matter the situation, always choose the right path because it strengthens our character.
